MEET TERRI
Terri’s love for Oriental Medicine grew from the early macrobiotic teachings of Micho & Avaline Kushi. She operated the first macrobiotic restaurant at the San Diego East West Center, where she also taught classes for macrobiotic theory, nutrition and seasonal cooking preparation.
Terri earned a Master in Acupuncture and Certificate in Chinese Herbal Studies from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture and is national board certified by the NCCAOM. Post-graduation studied the Shen-Hammer Contemporary Pulse Diagnosis and more recently studying and incorporating Saam Acupuncture based on the dynamic movement of yin and yang within the five element phases and the six conformations.
Terri was raised in a family of osteopathic physicians, her grandfather was a chiropractor and her mother opened a health food store in 1976, providing a strong influence that continues to be a resource for living a healthy and mindful life.
