MEET TERRI

Terri’s love for Oriental Medicine grew from the early macrobiotic teachings of Micho & Avaline Kushi. She was a co-member of the San Diego East West Center and operated the first macrobiotic restaurant while also teaching classes for macrobiotic theory, nutrition and seasonal cooking preparation.

Terri earned a Master in Acupuncture and Certificate in Chinese Herbal Studies from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. She is national board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed to practice in the state of Maine. (L.Ac.)

Post-graduation Terri studied the Shen-Hammer Contemporary Pulse Diagnosis with teacher Lonny Jarrett and has incorporated Saam, an ancient style rooted in the dynamic movement of yin and yang, within the five phases and the six conformations. More recently, Terri is exploring a revolutionary, palpatory style of practice, called NeoClassical.

Terri was raised in a family of osteopathic physicians, her grandfather was a chiropractor, and her mother opened a health food store in 1976, providing a strong influence that continues to be a resource for staying curious and engaging in the “new” while living a healthy and mindful life.
